Maintenance Technician

How you will contribute 

• Complete routine, priority, and emergency maintenance tasks as required, requested, or identified and 
• record/report activities and or actions in appropriate databases or related systems.
• Carry out basic daily, weekly, monthly internal and external checks and document results.
• Carry out basic daily, weekly, monthly Preventative Maintenance and document results.
• Check and maintain inventories of tools, spares, stock and general items and document results.
• Assist in planning, prioritizing and performance of all assigned tasks, in consultation with First 
• Maintenance Technician, Operations, and Engineering team.
• Escort/accompany and monitor contractors when on site. 
• Ensure contracters on site are familiar with site emergency action plans.
• Ensure that QEHS awareness and reporting is central to all aspects of maintenance on site.
• Ensure completion of maintenance/engineering tasks, preventative, scheduled or unscheduled irrespective 
• of origin, on time and on budget for either syncreon or our customers.
• Compliance with QEHS by ensuring that training and appropriate PPE is always available.
• Completion and documentation of daily, weekly, monthly checks on time and to correct standard. 
• Maintenance and documentation of inventories of tools, spares, general hardware stock and general items.
   

Contacts required with other organizations

• Maintenance team is required to be familiar with other functional teams, to deliver services required.
• Maintenance team is required to liaise on a regular basis with Managers from other teams as required.
• Maintenance team is required to liaise with various suppliers and contractors on a regular basis.
• Maintenance team may be required to liaise with and assist syncreon customers as required or requested.
• Internal with all departments within the organization.

What you will bring 

• Education: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary – VMBO/MBO. Higher technical education is desired.
• Trade: Electrician (NEN3140), Carpenter, Mechanic, Plumber, or related experience (experienced level).
• Experience: 3 – 5 years in relevant field or similar work related experience is required.
• Skills: Able to train new team members, create working instructions, planning, prioritisation, organisation, good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills.
• Computer: MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Outlook. CMMS is desired.
• Traits: Proactive, determined, initiative, evaluation and decision making.
• Languages: Both English and Dutch (preferred) as a minimum – written and verbal (proficient level).
• In possession of the right (Dutch) certificates (Reach Truck, Pallet Truck, Scissor Lift).
